Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Sonic Weapons ("we", "us") collects when you visit sonic-weapons.com, buy Chord Agent or Chord Agent 2, and use the software, and what we do with it.
1. What we collect
- Purchase details: you pay on Stripe's checkout page, which collects your email address, name and payment details. Stripe processes the payment; we receive your email address and the order details (amount, currency, date, Stripe references), never your card details.
- Licence data: each purchase creates a licence key linked to your email address. We keep the licence, the computers it's activated on (a random machine identifier and the computer's name) and when they were last used, so we can enforce the 2-computer limit, resend your key, support you and handle refunds.
- Using Chord Agent 2: when you press GENERATE, REFINE or NEW HARMONY, the plugin sends your prompt text, the musical settings (genre, bars, key, locked chords) and a licence token to our server. We count generations per licence per day and keep operational logs (for example the genre, bar count and timing) to run and improve the service; we don't sell or share your prompts. Playback and everything else runs on your computer and sends nothing.
- Support emails: messages you send to support@sonic-weapons.com and our replies. An AI assistant helps us draft and send replies; a person reviews anything it can't resolve.

2. How we use it
- To deliver, resend and check your licence

We don't send marketing emails.
3. Who processes it for us
- Stripe: checkout and payments (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare: website hosting, our licence database, email delivery and the server the plugin talks to (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- Google (Gemini API): writes the harmony from your prompt and settings (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok: website analytics and ad measurement (section 4)
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4), the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel. They set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, device and browser details and whether you started a purchase. Checkout happens on Stripe's page, which has its own privacy policy. You can block these with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker; the site and checkout keep working.
5. Retention
We keep licence records for as long as your licence exists, so you can always recover your key, and order records as required for tax and accounting. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (we may keep what the law requires, such as transaction records).
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email support@sonic-weapons.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored with access limited to what's needed to run the service.
8. Children
Chord Agent isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
